Sorry, I'm No Fun!

Sorry I have been absent of late. I haven't forgot you all I just have been indisposed. The problem is really the disposal of a kidney stone that has taken up residence in the wrong spot (actually there is no right spot). I've spent a little time in the emergency room and a lot of sofa time. The dogs have made it clear that they want their space back! Mostly I have been in a drug induced stupor which is a little different from my normal stupor in that I can't even quilt. My greatest disappointment (from last Thursday on) is that I haven't been eating (yes, me not eating) food and the smell of it has made me sick. I have been consuming gallons of liquids and no..... I have not lost one ounce not a pound. How is this possible? My one consoling thought has been that I will have probably lost a dress size and people won't recognize the new slim me but--- no worries --there is no improved me. Maybe if I loose the kidney stone I'll loose some weight........ how much could a stone weigh? I'll be back soon at least a stone lighter.

I hope you get better soon! I know how it feels feeling sick at the smell or sight of food and it's not nice just at that, so I can't imagine how it feels to have a kidney stone as well.
Best wishes from Meg and cats xxx

Oh Stephanie, I'm so sorry you've been feeling ill! This nasty winter weather is hard enough to take, without being sick, too! Hope you are soon on the mend -- I'll be thinking about you, and saying a little prayer...

I sure hope you are feeling better! I know the pain you are in! (Well somewhat) I had gallstones! OUCH! OUCH! WHEW! That was HORRIBLE! Needless to say, I no longer have a gallbladder!

I am sure you will see some weight loss when it's all said and done! Especially, if you are only taking in liquids! Maybe, you will just have to potty for days to get rid of all of those liquids! LOL

GET WELL SOON!

Ow Stephanie, you poor thing!! My husband was plagued by kidney stones for a few years. The first time he had them, like you, he was back and forth to the hospital. He was in so much pain, like you, drugs and laying in bed were his only comfort till he passed it.

I wish you a speedy recovery blogging friend, I hope you feel better really soon. Keep us posted. This too will pass...quite literally, hopefully soon. : )

Major bummer! And no weight loss on top of all the pain. Thank goodness for the drug induced haze! Seriously, hope you're feeling much, much better soon.

So many fun things on your blog since I was last here. How very nice to have your family all together - looks like fun for everyone. Your bread looked soooo good - I've been doing the Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a day - but I have done the No Knead too - both are so good. Love your quilt - and all of the snow photos - simply lovely. Your dogs make me smile - so much like my two. There is not a flake of snow in our yard that hasn't been packed down with crazy playing dogs. I was sorry to hear about your photo problems - but it was so fun to see all of those beautiful blooms. Thank you!
