Scarlett and the Rock

This is our friend Scarlett. She is a bit of a bad-tempered diva. Lately, Scarlett 's favorite toy is her lava rock. This may be lava but it is heavy. The game is to detach the snap and then wildly swing the rock in any direction and let her rip. Below are pictures of the process.

Bird-O-Mania

My little Mango. Such a cutie!

This is Duncan (prenamed by the pet store) who is our Mama bird.

Love In A Little Package

Meet Mango, the Sun Conure. He came to live with us last Sunday and it was love at first sight! He is very social and would happily spend the whole day attached to me!
Our other two conures, Cedric and Duncan (who should be renamed) laid eggs and have raised two baby conures. Cedric is a Blue Crown and Duncan a Nanday so I had no idea such an alliance was possible but- live and learn! They have been excellent parents even though this odd pair has a huge age difference with Cedric being in his twenties and Duncan a youngster about three. Both take turns feeding the babies and Cedric stands guard outside their box to defend them. I'll post photos of the babies when they are out and about.
